Vision
To promote skiing and riding to the next generation of athletes and become the United States’ leading organization for synchronized skiing and riding.
Mission
The mission of the Telluride Synchronized Ski Team is to promote the enjoyment and inclusiveness of skiing and riding and to contribute to its growth by supporting competitive synchronized ski and ride teams.
The Telluride Synchronized Ski Team will accomplish this mission by supporting local families learning to ski and ride and competitive synchronized teams that represent the Telluride Ski and Snowboard School.
Our organization supports competitive synchronized ski and snowboard teams from the Telluride Ski and Snowboard School. The Telluride Ghostriders have competed since 1994 and the Telluride Tempters, an all female group, was founded in 2023.
The Telluride Synchronized Ski Team is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization approved by the IRS and State of Colorado. We are committed to providing scholarship and equipment to local families learning to ski and snowboard. In March 2024, the Telluride Synchronized Ski Team will host the inaugural Telluride World Synchro Championship.
The Telluride World Synchro Championship invites ski and snowboard synchro teams from around the world to compete at the Telluride Ski Resort. Each team competing in the championship will be comprised of six or eight skiers and riders who slide together in various formations to create exciting routines. The format includes a day of race and mogul competition followed by a day of synchronized competition scored on technical abilities, difficulty, and creativity.
During the synchronized competition day, we will invite exhibition teams to demonstrate synchronized skiing or riding separate from the team competition — synchronized snowsports has a long history and we’re proud to include any group of skiers or snowboarders who wish to demonstrate their awesome talent.
